7/7/17 (No Wonder it was a Lucky Day!)

Hi, friends and family!

It’s a great day at camp, despite a rainy day schedule this morning. First, a LATE WAKE UP! Wooohoo! You can imagine how tired we get since we spend every day as active and enthusiastic as we do. We’re pooped! So that extra-special, once-in-a-blue-moon, rainy day wake-up unicorn is just about the equivalent to finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Surprise rainy day wake-up and freshly made regular and blueberry pancakes: the stuff of camp dreams.

Then, all camp, divisional JUKE BOX! Ask your camper about it, but let’s just say it’s about as TIMBER TOPS as it gets.

After a highly anticipated quesadilla lunch, rest hour was filled with big/little sister time. It was so much fun to see our campers sitting and chatting with their big/little sisters with no agenda. We love how campers of all ages feel as connected as they do to each other and to camp. Maybe all the love and excitement brought the sun out, or maybe it happened on its own, but the rest of the afternoon brought abundant sunshine. Just the way we like it.

Tonight, after a delicious Friday night dinner, rowdy lineup, and campus cleanup, we’ll head down for our weekly campfire. Our campfires have been better than ever this year. Just ask your camper about Bernadette!

Sorry to leave you with a teaser, but since we’re at it, here’s another: Olympics could break out at any moment, moms and dads, and the anticipation is in the air. When will it happen? What will happen? What will the themes be? Only time will tell! Gotta run to the campfire! (Or do I? Wink!)
