What holiday weekend? We’re not slowing down, we’re speeding up!
We’ve had an action-packed two days of camp, probably our busiest 48 hours yet. In addition to our regularly scheduled programming, our 11th graders left for Costa Rica, we took our first rock climbing trip, our Top Cooks campers ventured out for their first cooking class in town, and we excelled in our first inter-camp games against other Pike and Wayne County camps (11 and under soccer and 13 and under basketball)! Last night we also held our first junior overnight on the upper field! Interested junior campers went creek stomping, had fun star-gazing, and then camped out with their bunk mates on the most beautiful night of camp we’ve had so far. Here are those who participated: Griffen S, Samantha S, Leah D, Maytal M, Mackenzie B, Cecilia S, Catherine, Ayla A, Jenna L, Claire O, Fallon R, Emma F, Cali P, Ashley R, Jagger C, Shayna K, Serafina R, Dani D, Margot L, Jessi K, Elli K, Jamie L, Sophie B, Hannah L, Lizzie B, Elisa G, Maia S, Abby G, Clea B. Don’t worry! If your junior’s name isn’t on this list, she still has plenty of opportunity to sign up!
Other highlights of the day included a much anticipated mac n’ cheese lunch, CA prep for July 4th, and 8th grade excitement surrounding our upcoming cabaret! What will the theme be? Only time will tell!
Though the past two days of camp have been awesome, we can only imagine what tomorrow’s July 4th celebrations will hold! Tune in tomorrow for our Independence Day Edition! We love the Red and White (and Blue)!
