Happy CATurday, from CTT!

Saturday? What’s Saturday?! At camp every day feels like a vacation, so Tuesdays and Saturdays are equally as magical under the Greeley sky. But today marks ONE WEEK at camp! Can you believe it?! This week has flown by, though it also feels like we’ve been here forever. We say that every day at camp feels like a week at home, and it’s true! That’s why the friendships made here often become our most sacred ones.

We officially started tours this weekend, and it’s so much fun showing prospective families camp…And all because of our awesome campers! Families are amazed by just how HAPPY our campers are here, so thank you for raising and sharing such fabulous girls. If anyone you know is thinking of visiting us for a tour, Play Day or Explorers this summer, now’s the time to come see camp! Great camp families know other great, prospective camp families, so thanks for sharing the CTT love!

Our tours today were both delighted and confused that they walked into CATurday! What’s CATurday? The CAs told us to dress up as cats, so we did! It’s rather simple, but a whole lot of fun! And speaking of animals, at lineup it was announced that tomorrow marks the start of the POLAR BEAR CLUB! What’s that, you ask? Tomorrow morning, well before lineup, at 6AM to be exact, 200 Camp Timber Tops girls (yup, you read that right, 2/3 of the camp) will be woken up (by choice) to participate in our CTT Polar Bear Club! CTT Polar Bears jump into the lake at dawn, sing three songs, and then run to the dining hall for hot chocolate and cookies. They must do this three times in order to gain entry into the club (entry into the club means getting Polar Bear Club t-shirt). We’ve gotta say, with 200 girls planning on participating, it’s confirmed that CTT is just the greatest, most enthusiastic, campiest girls camp around.

Highlights today were: a junior martial arts choice class (it was awesome!), tumble track in gymnastics, ultimate frisbee fun, “cups of joy” in outdoor cooking (think marshmallows, blueberries, chocolate, all baking over a fire), tennis clinics, lots of one-on-one fitness, and swimming, swimming in the swimming pool!

Tonight’s activities will be divisional. Juniors will participate in ridiculous relays, low seniors will Escape the Room, and Hi Seniors will PANIC!

Aside from a few moments of passing rain, it was another beautiful day at camp! Tune in tomorrow for another edition of Timber Talk, folks! Have a great night!
