Happy Thursday edition of Timber Talk, live from down the winding road!
What a busy day! Where to start?! For much of the camp it was a late sleep, supervised free activity day, but not for our many Polar Bear Club campers and those participating in the Marvin Black tennis tournament! That made up about 200 kids, all of whom were busy before morning lineup began! In addition to the tennis tournament, we also participated in a swim meet today. In both competitions Timber Tops did phenomenally well. Go, CTT girls!
In addition to regular activities being open for seniors, this morning’s SFA (Supervised Free Activity) special events included a Quick Ball clinic and a flag football game! And Juniors headed over to our local family fun park, Costa’s! At Costa’s, our junior campers were given a package of tokens and vouchers for the water slides, ice cream, arcade, mini golf, bumper cars and more. What a morning! It doesn’t get much better! Oh, except that when they got back to camp it was falafel bar for lunch (mac and cheese too). YUM!
The afternoon was action-packed with regular programing and preparation for two super-fun evening programs. For the Juniors: LAKE NIGHT! For the Seniors: SOCIAL (animal themed) with Lake Owego! If we were any more excited we could hardly stand it.
One spoiler alert before we go. And the winner of last night’s lip sync was (drum roll please….): BUNK POPLAR! The video will be up on Vimeo soon, and we’ll post on Facebook when it is!
