And they’re off!

Our campers have been training for this since the first day of camp when sign-ups were first posted. Now that’s dedication! Every year, Pine Forest Camp hosts the Hughie and Selma (yup, like the lake!) Black Camper Scamper. It’s a great (and hard!) 5k all around Pine Forest, and our three-camp family participates together. Over 100 campers ran this year! With a real race clock timing each runner, everyone got an official race number and a 5K T-shirt for participating. Those who came in first, second, or third place received commemorative medals. It was an accomplishment both to participate and to finish, and it’s great practice for 5ks in the world outside of camp! We are so proud of our runners!

Other highlights of the day: Kelli Moshen’s dance intensive, a trip to COSTA’S, and tonight? OLD TIMERS/NEW TIMERS! We have some camp legends going up on the 10-year tree tonight. We love you, girls! Is it safe to say this is the BEST DAY EVER? Never, at camp! Tomorrow’s probably going to be even GREATER!
