Friends and Followers,
It was another particularly beautiful day at camp (until it rained late this afternoon after we were through almost all of our day). The weather has been showing off these past few days, placing the final cherries on top of what has been the summer of a lifetime here in Greeley, PA. Every summer feels like it’s been the best summer yet, but we really think it’s been the best summer ever. As we wind down, there’s both a sadness of knowing we have to leave, but there’s also (really!) a leaning in to each and every moment and activity, a gratitude that we have a place we love so much that it makes saying goodbye so difficult.
This morning we had our friends at Lice Lifters come back to camp to check each and every camper. And guess what? We’re lice free! Hallelujah! We also have a wonderful dermatologist here this week to make sure that our health screenings on each and every camper include a thorough skin check. We got laundry back, we had a good cleanup, and we enjoyed our final taco lunch and canteen. Sigh.
It’s been a regular day of activities here, but our evening will be an usual one here at CTT as we ALL head to a FULL CAMP SOCIAL! Socials are usually a senior thing, but we’ve all got our dancing shoes on, and we’re ready to party the night away.
Tomorrow it’s late wakeup and then breakfast AND lunch in the grove as our 9th graders transform our dining hall to a gorgeous banquet for the entire camp, honoring our CAs, Cassia. Cassia will spend the day on a well deserved day of beach and lunch out in the world before they return to us as the stars of the show.
We’ve gotta lotta living left to do here at CTT. There’s so much excitement still to come.
