What a day! What a life!

After a CA wakeup we headed to breakfast for a delightful veggie scramble and tater tots! What a treat! This morning brought what we at CTT call “flagpole activities” which — well, just ask your camper about them. Let’s just say it’s sort of a staple at Timber Tops and includes pie eating, lemon sucking, licorice eating, butter churning, watermelon seed spitting, watermelon eating and so much more! And it culminates in ROPE BURNING! Things were a little wilder than usual this year because, since the third day of Pioneer Days coincided with our final play day, we held the flagpole activities on the lower field!

After a pizza lunch we enjoyed canteen and then headed back to the bunk for a much needed rest. This afternoon brought adventure activities, lake activities, gymnastics events, fitness happenings, a rock paper scissor tournament and even hoola hooping! And while the rest of us enjoyed general swim, the camp site and meal committees WOWed our judges in the woods. You would be amazed to see the campsites built! And each team’s meal, cooked over an open fire at the campsite, was particularly extraordinary this year. Brava!

Tonight, after silent dinner, headed out to our final lineup and song practice for tonight’s main event! Banners will be presented, songs will be sung, we’ll laugh together during the CA “tall tales” about CTT, and we’ll find out the winner of 2026 Pioneer Days.

It’s bittersweet as we reach these final moments of Pioneer Days. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we’re making each moment count.
