Howdy, Friends!

It’s another beautiful day in Downtown Greeley! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and we’re lovin’ the chillier-than-it-has-been weather here at camp. Sweatshirts! We missed you! Well, we’re not sure our Polar Bears appreciated the 57 degree wakeup so much, but they were still out in full force before 7AM this morning!

Our Polar Bear Club is reserved for those who opt into 3 mornings of early wake ups and a jump into the lake to sing three songs before everyone else is up! In exchange, proud Polar Bears get bragging rights, hot chocolate, a chocolate chip cookies before breakfast, and a Polar Bear Club t-shirt. And even though some of our first-session friends already earned their winnings, they couldn’t stay away! We love Polar Bears!

Today we enjoyed more Greeley Games against PFC, today including a dance competition, softball, soccer, basketball and lacrosse! And another Tops Cooks class! And the day ended with a 5k for all those interested which was AWESOME! And while we participated in regular activities, we continued to surprise and be surprised by our JELLYBEANS! Everyone at camp picks a name out of a hat, and that name becomes a person’s Jellybean! We all have a Jellybean, and each of us is a Jellybean! Cool! It’s a way to make new friends and connect with each other in these first few days of second session. And wait! There’s a catch! You keep your Jellybean a secret until the big reveal at tomorrow night’s Jellybean campfire. In the meantime, we’re leaving each other notes and small gifts and tokens and mostly just lots of excitement for tomorrow’s reveal. That’s why, sometimes, we’re making these deliveries in costume! Things are wild here at camp.

Tonight, it’s Ridiculous Relays for Juniors and a SOCIAL with LOC for the Seniors!
