Time’s moving fast here at camp, and we’re holding on for the ride!

It’s been another sunny, chilly day at camp – perfect camp weather if you ask this blogger! And since it’s Monday, we slept in today! Woohoo! Those Monday and Thursday 8:45AM wakeups, an hour later than our typical wakeup time, sure do help us catch up on sleep! We chat with so many campers who can never quite sleep in at home, but there’s something in this mountain air!

Today was filled with excitement. During junior lunchtime, chants of “WE WANT OLYMPIC DAYS” echoed through the dining hall… We’ve heard rumblings before, but they’re definitely getting louder as we move into July! And what’s Olympics you ask? We don’t mean the ones in Paris! AT CTT, our first-session “color war” is called Olympic Days. Camp is split into 4 teams (red, yellow, green and blue), and we compete for two days! And there’s a top-secret Olympic breakout, too! No one knows quite when it’ll happen, but everyone sure does have a guess! Only time will tell! We’re so excited we could burst. But let’s slooooow things back down. After all, it’s not even July 4th yet!

Special happenings at camp today included:

• Brother/sister/cousin visiting with Pine Forest!
• Practicing, practicing, practicing for Junior Lip Sync!
• A soccer tournament against Pine Forest!
• We gave out those bright blue Polar Bear Club shirts! They were hard-earned!
• A Top Cooks class with Melissa d’Arabian, former Food Network star! WOW!

Tonight, it’s Mexican dinner followed by a cookie bake/movie night for juniors (our first screen in 10 days!) and Championship Challenge for seniors! The fun never stops at CTT! Goodnight from Greeley!
