Orange You Glad It’s Orange Wednesday?

Knock knock. Who’s there? Orange! Orange who? Orange you glad you tuned in to today’s Timber Talk? It’s ORANGE WEDNESDAY! Things at camp are wacky, and Orange Wednesday is no exception. We’re wearing orange, and we’re loving it (there’s no reason, it’s just today’s theme)!

This morning, many of us began the day with a cool, 6:30AM dip in Lake Selma as part of THE POLAR BEAR CLUB! Our Polar Bears elected to wake up before the sun, jump into the lake, sing three songs, and run back to shore all for bragging rights, hot chocolate, cookies and, if they do it three days in a row, a Polar Bear Club t-shirt. We just think it’s amazing that the majority of our campers here opt to participate! We had over 200 polar bears this morning!

And beyond Lake Selma, it’s been another beautiful Greeley day. Today’s Orange Wednesday fun included pickle ball, tennis, horseback riding, our first Top Cooks class (cookie and cake decorating!), mountain biking, play practice, basketball clinics, a rest period ice cream party for our counselors because they are so amazing, adventure fun and so much more. We also had chicken tenders for lunch! And canteen! Dreams really do come true!

Tonight, Juniors will play “Name That Tune,” Seniors will play “Minute to Win It” and Hi Seniors will PANIC! Check out photos tomorrow.

For now, we’ll leave you with this joke:

Why do oranges wear sunscreen?

BECAUSE THEY PEEL! (Don’t worry, friends and followers. We’re wearing plenty of sunscreen.)

And with that, goodnight from Greeley!
