Today was a great day at camp. The weather was especially beautiful- cool, crisp, sunny, just the way we like it! Our track meet was awesome, and we came out victorious! Pizza lunch never disappoints, and our Explorers left happy and excited about summer 2018! Campers were practicing for Camp Timber Tops Idol and preparing for tomorrow’s swim meet, too. But today’s highlight of the day was tonight’s dedication of a new dock on Lake Selma to Rachel Maller, our Junior Head Counselor, in celebration of her 20th summer at camp.

Rachel started at camp as a camper and became a counselor, a unit leader, and now she’s our beloved head of lower camp at CTT. Everyone who knows Rachel knows that she is an extraordinary person whom we’re lucky to call ours. Rachel takes care of your girls with so much dedication and love; there’s no one like her.

Alongside her mom, sister Sarah (our hi-junior division leader), Millie, Missy, Andy, Anna, and Mickey, in front of the whole camp and on behalf of 5 generations of Camp Timber Tops, we declared that from here on out, our new fishing dock on Lake Selma will forever be Rachel’s Dock! We love you, Rachel! Thank you for taking such good care of the girls of Timber Tops! Happy 20th Summer!
