Another glorious day under the Greeley sun. It’s true! We’re not exaggerating! Each day has just been more beautiful than the next! We feel like every day we say there’s something particularly exciting happening, but maybe it’s because every day is truly filled with something extraordinary at camp!
This morning we has our traditional Thursday morning late sleep. The extra hour of shut-eye put some added pep in our step and allowed us to dance with even more gusto at morning lineup. After breakfast, and for the remainder of the morning, we experienced our first SFA DAY. That’s right, an entire morning of Supervised Free Activity. Counselors were stationed around camp and campers had the opportunity to choose their own morning adventures or just hang out and relax outside! There were a lot of nail salon pop-ups in Junior Village, and a lot of reading and letter writing and Uno on Senior Hill! In addition to regular activities being open for choice, we also run special, super-exciting optional programming at most activity areas. A STANDOUT highlight today was variation of s’more recipes in cooking with a special cooking challenge! Oh, and TIE DYE! YES! After a morning of free play, we enjoyed a delicious cookout lunch (our first of the season): hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, and all the fixin’s. YUM! All in all, it was a great, relaxing day. We love Thursdays around here!
And tonight, low Juniors (2nd-5th Graders) play Minute to Win It! Hi Juniors (6th Graders) play Panic! And for Seniors, it’s a Cookie Bake!
Today, full-season campers took our virtual visiting day announcement in stride. Your girls, our girls, are so happy and resilient. They understood! And they’re already helping us brainstorm. We’ll make the FULL SUMMER CLUB (our full-season camper activities) extra special this summer, we promise! A heartfelt thanks for your support. More details on Virtual Visiting Day soon.
And that’s it for today, folks! Good night from Greeley!
